Created in 2002, the Basket bag is the outcome of a unique collaboration between Belgian designer Charles Kaisin and Delvaux. On the occasion of the “Design in Motion” exhibition based on the work of designer Charles Kaisin and held in Hong Kong, the Delvaux Maison launched a limited re-edition of 100 pieces of the Basket bag by Charles Kaisin. Inspired by the extension of materials, the Basket bag appears to be flat but has a beautiful roundness when filled. It also features multiple alveoli which give a glimpse away of the different lining of the bag. The Basket bag has been realised in two different bi-colour combinations in order to flip the bag over depending on your colour mood of the day. Exclusively available at Lane Crawford IFC in Hong Kong.
Delvaux has found the perfect setting for its striking bags and accessories through its boutique concept. This exclusive concept was designed by two Luxembourg-based artists, Martine Feipel and Jean Bechameil, who took part in the 2011 Venice Biennale. The concept displays carved interiors, which take their influence from Flemish architecture.
The House is definitely ready to expand to international markets and is planning other boutique openings in the upcoming months.
Until 14 December a shop window of Les Galeries Lafayette in Paris is dedicated to Les Humeurs de Brillant. Luxuristas from all over the world can now discover this exclusive collection of nine creations which have been inspired by the illustrious Le Brillant handbag.
The window also does honour to Delvaux’s exclusive shop concept launched earlier this year at the Galerie de la Reine boutique in Brussels. The original sketches by the artists Martine Feipel and Jean Bechameil, who designed the concept in collaboration with the House, have been transferred onto the backwall of the window, creating the illusion of depth, an effect that is enhanced by the varying positions and heights of the box-like pedestals.
The Delvaux Maison opened a large corner at Galeries Lafayette in Beijing, a brand new location for the famous Paris department store, where Delvaux has been stocked since the 1st of August.
On the 25th of October, a temporary store has been unveiled, focusing on the world of Madame Delvaux.
To celebrate this new opening in style, a whole window has also been given to Les Humeurs de Brillant. Nine exclusive creations which have been inspired by the iconic Le Brillant handbag. They express the know-how of the House and symbolise its values while adding a surrealistic touch.
